Everything is stored nearby in Lower Manhattan, within 20 blocks of your location. We’re building this to be local and accessible—no long-haul warehouses or mystery locations.

We’re working on offering optional, premium insurance coverage. For now, many renters and homeowners insurance policies will cover items stored offsite—just list Uptote as the storage provider.

Can I store fragile or high-value items?

We recommend not storing fragile, perishable, or highly valuable items (e.g., jewelry, electronics, cash). Uptotes is best for seasonal clothing, books, gear, and general household items.

Are the bags locked?

Every Uptote bag is sealed by you with a unique, tamper-evident tag. Only you can authorize it to be opened. Our staff never accesses bag contents.

How does my stuff get around?

Bikes whenever possible. This helps us with speedy delivery, on-demand service, and a small ecological footprint.

Who's the nerd behind the curtain?

Uptotes is founded by Jason Littrell, a seasoned entrepreneur, (P.S. 40) dad, cyclist, and ai/automation expert based in NYC. I've built brands, bars, and businesses that run on efficiency, trust, and community connection.

Why Uptotes?

After living in small NYC apartments and hauling storage bins to distant lockers, I realized there had to be a better, more human solution. Uptotes was born out of a simple idea: What if storage felt like a service—not a chore?

Is he running this solo?

For now, yes. Jason personally manages pickups, storage, and service to ensure every customer experience is tight, secure, and seamless. I'm building the system to scale—but starting by earning trust one tote at a time.
